At Miskwaadesi M’Nauhan Decorative Arts Inc. (MMDA), our work is rooted in the belief that Indigenous art is not merely decorative. It is a living expression of identity, story, teaching, memory, beauty, and relationship.
We exist to support Indigenous artists, expand access to authentic Indigenous art, and contribute to meaningful Economic Reconciliation through respectful, ethical, and culturally grounded practice.
Our philosophical approach is guided by a commitment to integrity, reciprocity, respect, and responsibility. In this spirit, we see strong alignment between MMDA’s purpose and the Seven Grandfather Teachings: Love, Truth, Respect, Wisdom, Humility, Honesty, and Bravery. We offer that relationship as a respectful point of guidance for our work, not as a substitute for the diversity of Indigenous teachings across Nations.
Complete the artist intake process by submitting your Artist Profile Information Form and Certification of Indigenous Status Form. Once reviewed, eligible artists will be contacted regarding next steps, including consignment and artwork intake.
